Our team seeks to encourage, involve and enable residents, city officials and business owners to work together to create positive changes in the community and local economy. A few years ago, neighborhood associations, local businesses and the staff at MRC recognized a need to come together as a single force in the community and created NEAT or Northeast Alliance Together.

NEAT is the Northeast’s leader for commercial and residential development, a developer and facilitator of resources for the broader community, the tie that binds neighborhoods and businesses together, and the force that spearheads important projects related to the community. NEAT serves the six neighborhoods that make up the Historic Northeast: Independence Plaza, Indian Mound, Lykins, Pendleton Heights, Scarritt Renaissance, and Sheffield.

NEAT is also a resource for improving public safety in the area and an advocate for more transportation, walkability and bike ability all to improve the livability of the Northeast.
