Mattie Rhodes Center is a nonprofit agency celebrating it’s 127th year of serving the Greater Kansas City community. We are committed to building a stronger city by working toward the vision of living in a vibrant community where all individuals and families are healthy, safe and have the resources to thrive.

How The Mattie Rhodes Center Helps Our Community

Mattie Rhodes Center provides a holistic approach to individual and family well being through social services, behavioral health counseling and the arts.

Our staff provides culturally competent programming in the following five areas:

Family Services

Children, individuals, couples and families. Many of those we serve are recent immigrants from Latin America who speak only Spanish. Every year, our Family Services team serves more than 1,000 individuals who live in Jackson County, Missouri and the surrounding metro area.

Youth Developement

Offering a variety of youth and young adult services designed to enhance personal, interpersonal, artistic, and educational achievement.

Community Support

The community engagement & community economic development programs are designed to develop, utilize and cultivate resources and opportunities for neighborhood residents and leaders.

Cultural Arts

Our goal is to educate the community about Latino culture and traditions through the visual arts.

Community Engagement

Mattie Rhodes works to empower individuals to be leaders, giving them the tools they need to help themselves and work for their communities.

Emergency Assistance

Working alongside each other, we promote positive change by amplifying the voices of all to inspire hope for the future. (food, rent, and utilities assistance)
